WillaNews does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking software in the app. The developer has no server and never receives any information about you or your reading.
Everything WillaNews remembers stays on your iPhone and is never transmitted to the developer:
Deleting the app permanently removes all of this from your device.
WillaNews fetches publicly available RSS feeds directly from news publishers (for example AP, BBC, NPR, Reuters, Google News and others) so that articles can be shown to you. These requests go straight from your device to those publishers. As with visiting any website, those publishers may record standard technical information such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies. WillaNews sends them no identifier of its own.
Summaries, sentiment analysis, translation and spoken briefings are produced entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Article text is not sent to the developer or to any external service for processing.
If you choose to sign in to a news subscription you already pay for, that sign-in happens on the publisher's own website inside the app. WillaNews never sees, stores, or transmits your username or password. The session is kept by Apple's WebKit on your device, and you can clear it at any time in the app's settings.
Breaking-news and keyword notifications are generated locally on your device. No push notification service or server is involved, and the app works fully if you decline notifications.
WillaNews is a general news reader and is not directed at children. Because no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children.
